               Stewart Chosen SAC Softball Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. –
Presbyterian College’s Erin Stewart was chosen as the South Atlantic Conference’s Player of the Week it was announced by the conference office on Monday.

Stewart hit .500 for the Lady Blue Hose last week, going 4-for-8 from the plate in PC’s 4-0 week.

The Marion, S.C. native collected two of her four hits on the first two home runs of her career with both home runs serving as game winners for PC.

The sophomore acquired the first home run of her career in game two of a twinbill with USC Aiken on Tuesday, March 20 at the PC Softball Complex. The two-run shot proved to be all the offense the Lady Blue Hose would need in the 2-0 victory over the Lady Pacers.

The Marion High School product’s second home run of the week and her career came against Catawba in PC’s game one win over the Indians on Saturday, March 24. The score 1-0 in favor of Presbyterian, Stewart hit a home run in the bottom of the second inning to place PC ahead for good at 2-0 in the eventual 2-1 Lady Blue Hose win.

The South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week is voted on by the Sports Information Directors of the nine member schools.
