Ronny Fisher enters his seventh season
as an assistant basketball coach at
Presbyterian College.
He serves as the academic and recruiting
coordinator for the Blue Hose men’s
basketball program.
Fisher came to the Blue Hose after
spending two seasons as assistant
basketball coach at nearby North
Greenville University in Tigerville,
S.C.
A 1990 graduate of Furman University,
Fisher served as a student assistant
coach under former Paladin and
Presbyterian head coach Butch Estes.
Fisher is no stranger to the Blue Hose,
having served as an assistant basketball
coach at Presbyterian College after
graduating from Furman in 1990. He held
that position at PC for three years
before moving on to Conway, S.C. where
he was named head basketball coach at
Conway High School. Fisher compiled a
record of 47-52 with the Tigers from
1993-97, including leading his 1993-94
team to the quarterfinals of the state
playoffs.
A native of Asheville, N.C., Fisher, 37,
earned his bachelor of arts degree from
Furman in physical education. He is
married to the former Julie Dickert of
Taylors, S.C. The couple has two
children: Harrison seven years old and
Sydney, five years old.
