Athletic Administration
Entering her
second year of service at Presbyterian, Assistant Athletic
Trainer Heide Zeiser has accepted the additional position of
Senior Women’s Administrator as offered by PC Director of
Athletics Dr. William “Bee” Carlton.
“I am so pleased
that Ms. Zeiser has agreed to serve in this key role and
assume these responsibilities,” noted Carlton. “She has
already proven to be a valued member of our staff who has
earned the respect of our coaches and student-athletes. She
will be a great addition to the senior staff in our
department.”
Zeiser worked
primarily with the women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse teams
in 2005, but helped with the overall needs of the
student-athletes from all 16 varsity sports on day-to-day
injury and rehabilitation needs.
The Daytona,
Beach, Fla. native arrived at PC after a one-year stint at
the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. during
the 2004-05 academic year. Zeiser was a sports medicine
intern at VCU, working closely with the Ram volleyball and
men’s and women’s track & field programs.
Prior to VCU, she
was an intern with the Auburn University Sports Medicine
office in Auburn, Ala., for two years. During her first year
at Auburn, Zeiser worked with women's soccer and both
basketball squads. Her primary concern was the Tiger women’s
soccer team in her second year.
During her time
at Auburn, Zeiser served as a co-sports medicine director
for the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Men's and Women's
Diving Championships and the NCAA Division I Men's and
Women's Diving Zone as well as the NCAA Division I Men's and
Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
Zeiser earned a
bachelors of science in Health Science from Clemson
University in 1998 and a master’s in Sports Medicine from
the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala., in 2004.
She is a member
of both the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA)
and the South Carolina Athletic Trainers Association (SCATA).
