Maryland Native Beaumont Nets Game-Winning Goal For PC
In Win Over Georgian Court

BEL AIR, Md. – Presbyterian’s women’s lacrosse tallied a 5-4 win over Georgian Court on Sunday afternoon at the John Carroll School.

The Lady Blue Hose are now 6-6 on the 2007 season.

Five different players scored for the Lady Blue Hose in the victory. Jordan Newberry (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way with two points on a goal and an assist.

Shannon Stodel (Duluth, Ga.) picked up the first goal of the game for PC on a free position shot.

Maryland native Trista Sturdivant (Street, Md.) scored PC’s second goal on an assist from Sally Maple (Peachtree City, Ga.).

Lauren Thomas (Waynesville, N.C.) acquired the third goal of the game for PC on an assist from Newberry, who then in turned placed herself on the tally sheet with a free position goal a couple minutes into the second half.

Rachel Beaumont (Severna Park, Md.) made it a triumphant trip home shortly thereafter when she scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Brittni Dulaney (Rome, Ga.).

Jenna Handshoe (Greenville, S.C) scooped up a team-high seven ground balls in the PC victory.

Presbyterian next travels to Charlotte, N.C. to square off against Queens at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 5.
