SLOAN NAMED SAC PLAYER OF WEEK
ROCK
HILL, SC Presbyterian Colleges Rachel
Sloan, of Greenville, SC, has been named
this week's South Atlantic Conference Women's
Basketball Player of the Week after helping the
Blue Hose to a split last week's league games.
It marks the fourth time the 6-0, senior,
forward, from Carolina Academy, has earned the
honor this season.

Sloan recorded a double
double, with 26 points and 18 rebounds in a losing
effort against Wingate.
In the 69-68 loss, she hit on 10-of-21
field goal attempts, connecting on a pair of
three- pointers, and adding a pair of assists.
The 18 rebounds tied her career high.
In the 77-46 win over Carson-Newman
College, Sloan had 13 points, hitting 6-of-7
shots, and pulled down eight rebounds in 20
minutes of action. The senior added four assists and a steal in the win.
For the week, Sloan
averaged 19.5 points 13.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists,
while shooting 57.1% from the field.
On the season, she is averaging 17.5
points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
