BLUE HOSE RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION II NATIONAL STATISTICS
PC’s Leopard leads the nation in free throw percentage

CLINTON, SC — Presbyterian College’s basketball teams rank among the national leaders in this week’s NCAA Division II statistics.

The women’s basketball team, led by junior wing Toni Leopard (Ninety-Six, SC), currently leads the nation (NCAA Division II) in free throw percentage at 91.5%. Leopard, a former Ninety-Six High School standout, is second on the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game and is one of two players this season to surpass the 1,000-point plateau in their career.  

In addition, senior forward/center Rachel Sloan (Greenville, SC) is 44th in NCAA Division II in scoring at 17.8 points per game. The former Carolina Academy standout is this week’s South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week and moved into sixth place in SAC history in career scoring at 1,713 points.


Junior Toni Leopard

On the men’s side, the team ranks 11th in the nation in scoring defense allowing only 63.3 points per game. The Blue Hose leads the SAC in scoring defense and rebound margin (+6.7).
