PC DAVIS LEADS BLUE HOSE PAST FLORIDA TECH 90-70 IN THE OPENING GAME OF THE HORTON HOMES TOURNAMENT HOSTED BY GEORGIA COLLEGE & STATE UNIVERSITY

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA - In the early game, Presbyterian (5-4) used a 16-0 run midway through the first half to build a 52-35 lead. Florida Tech (5-2) battled back to cut the deficit down to 36-31 at halftime, but the Blue Hose used another 12-0 run early in the second half and never looked back. Katie Davis led PC with a career high 25 points, while Toni Leopard added 19 points. Billie Hasksins also reached double figures with 10 points. The Blue Hose put on a clinic at the free throw line hitting 37 of 49 charity tosses (79%). Felicia Bell led Florida Tech with 14 points.

The Blue Hose advance to the finals of the tournament for the second straight year to play the host team Georgia College & State University at 4:00 pm on Saturday.  GC&SU advances to the finals after defeating St. Augustine's Lady Falcons 86-40 and improve to 5-0 on the season.
