SECOND GAME OF THE 4TH ANNUAL DISNEY TIPOFF CLASSIC
PC's Leopard, Woody, & Sloan hit for 20+ points
apiece
ORLANDO,
FL - Presbyterian College bounced back from their
opening night loss with an impressive 92-80 win over
Lake Superior State University in their second game of
the 4th Annual Disney Tip-Off Classic Saturday
afternoon.
The first half saw the lead change hands on several
occasions with neither team able to pull away and the
game was tied at intermission 44-44.
The Blue
Hose were paced in the first half by junior wing Toni
Leopard (Ninety-Six, SC) and senior wing Tracy
Woody (Mauldin, SC) tallied 12 and 11 points
respectively. Senior forward Rachel Sloan (Greenville,
SC) struggled first half with only six points and had to
miss the majority of the half due to foul trouble.
PC opened
the second half going on a 13-2 run to take a 11-point
lead at 57-46 with 11:35 remaining. The Lakers were held
without a field goal for the first six minutes of the
second half thanks in part to stiff Blue Hose defense.
Lake
Superior made a run with 5:52 remaining to cut the lead
to two points at 68-66. PC responded with a solid free
throw shooting down the stretch including going
14-for-16 from the charity stripe in the last 2:33 to
ice the game.
PC was
Leopard who scored a team-high 24 points and added four
rebounds while Woody chipped in 23 points and four
rebounds. Sloan bounced back from early foul trouble to
score 20 points and grab eight rebounds along with three
steals. Junior guard Katie Davis (Gainesville,
GA) rounded out the double figure scorers for PC with 11
points and added four steals. Sophomore center Heather
Parnell (Charlotte, NC) continues to play well off
the bench with six points and eight rebounds.

led by forward Alice Duesing who tallied 38
points on 12-of-13 from the free throw line. Guard Kendra
Harris chipped in 13 points and five rebounds before
fouling out.
PC
