Saturday afternoon. The first half saw both
teams struggle from the field as PC shot 27.6% including
two-for-11 from three-point range while Anderson shot 31.8%
and one-for-six from beyond the arc. The Blue Hose held the
lead throughout the first half, but the Lady Trojans tied the
game at 11-11 with 10:35 remaining. PC responded with a 11-4
run to end the half and took a 22-15 lead into intermission. Anderson opened the second
half on a 9-1 run and cut the lead to 25-24 at the 15:24 mark.
PC fought back and pushed the lead to seven points (31-24) a
few minutes later only to see the Lady Trojans use a 8-1 run
in the next four minutes to tie the game at 32-32 with 11:27
left in the game. PC took control at that point and went on a
16-3 run highlighted by five points by Werner to give the Blue
Hose a 48-35 lead with 5:21 remaining. The Blue Hose put the game
out of reach down the stretch and posted their biggest lead of

out. Presbyterian was led by

Birnie (Suwanee, GA) who scored 12 points in her first
start of the season. Senior forward Toni

Hilliard (1990-94) and Melissa
Robinson (1987-91) in the process. Anderson was led by
sophomore forward Amy
Davidson (Wilkesboro, NC) who scored a game-high 19 points
while senior guard Julie Hart (Hartwell, GA) added 12 points and seven assists. The #12-ranked Blue Hose
