Presbyterian runs away from Lady Senators

GREENWOOD, SC--The Presbyterian College women's basketball team held Lander to just 14 second-half points en route to a 76-49 non-conference victory Saturday afternoon in Horne Arena.

Presbyterian improves to 4-0 overall, while Lander drops to 0-4.
Katie Davis and Bonnie Werner scored 13 and 12 points respectively to lead Presbyterian, while Nicole Chittam added 10. Toni Leopard led the Blue Hose with nine rebounds.

The Lady Senators were led by Amelia White and Karmen Wilson, who scored eight points each. White also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.  

Presbyterian led at halftime, 40-35, but held the Lady Senators to 23 percent field goal shooting (6-of-26) in the second half.  The Lady Blue Hose extended their halftime lead to 15 points with 14:17 left in the game at 52-37. The Blue Hose's biggest lead was 30 points at 69-39 and 73-43.  Lander connected on 42.4 percent (14-of-33) of its field goals in the first half.  For the game, PC went 45.9 percent from the field (28-of-61), including 6-of-14 three-point shots.
