PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN TOP WINGATE 81-72 BEHIND LEOPARD’S 26

Wingate, NC--Presbyterian College senior forward Toni Leopard scored 19 of her team-high 26 points in the second half as the Blue Hose earned a hard-fought 81-72 South Atlantic Conference women's basketball victory over Wingate University this evening at Cuddy Arena.

Presbyterian is 10-3 overall (2-0 SAC), while Wingate is 7-4 overall (0-2 SAC). The Bulldogs travel to Newberry Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest.

Presbyterian had two other players in double figures. Guards Katie Davis and Bonnie Werner had 17 and 16 points, respectively.

For Wingate, senior center Elizabeth Biedrycki (Charlotte, N.C.) tallied a career-high 26 points. She notched her ninth double-double of the season with her 12 rebounds.
