PRESBYTERIAN FALL TO LADY BOBCATS

KENNESAW, Georgia – The Georgia College & State University Lady Bobcats shot 60.3% from the floor in a 93-60 win over Presbyterian College Saturday afternoon in the final game of the Ron Walker Memorial Classic hosted by Kennesaw State. GC&SU (1-1) placed four players in double figures, led by senior Andrea Lee's 26 points.

The Lady Bobcats shot 62.5% (21-32) from the floor in the first half, including 5-7 from three point range, and went into the locker room at halftime with a commanding 50-25 lead. GC&SU shot 57.7% from the floor in the second half and never allowed Presbyterian (0-2) to catch up.

In addition to Lee's 26 points, junior Breane Haggard added 17 points for the Lady Bobcats, while junior Alicia Ransom and sophomore Alicia Porter tossed in 14 points apiece. GC&SU also helped itself at the free throw line by hitting 15 out of 18 (83%) of its charity tosses. Rebecca Wessinger led the Blue Hose with 20 points in a losing effort.

The Blue Hose will play this Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. against Francis Marion University in Florence, SC.  The Lady Bobcats play at Albany State on Tuesday. Tip-off is schedule for 6 p.m.
