WERNER NAMED TO MILLER ORTHOPEDIC INVITATIONAL ALL-TOURNAMENT

CLINTON,
S.C. — Presbyterian College’s Bonnie
Werner has been named to the 2003 Miller
Orthopedic Invitational All-Tournament team announced today.

The Miller Invitational was
held over the weekend in Wingate, N.C. and held on the
campus of Wingate University. The Blue Hose defeated Coker
College 66-57 last Friday and held on to defeat East
Stroudsburg University 62-60 on Saturday. PC improved
their record to 4-7 on the season with the victories.
Werner, a 5-5 point guard from Kennesaw, Ga. was named to the all-tournament team after leading the Blue Hose to a 2-0 mark at the invitational. She averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 steals while shooting 50.0% from the field and 66.7% from the free throw line. |
The Blue Hose return to action this Saturday, January 11 at 2:00 pm when they host the Pioneers of Tusculum College to open the South Atlantic Conference regular season.
