BLEASE SIGNS WITH PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

CLINTON, S.C. — Kerianne Blease has signed a national letter of intent to play women’s basketball at Presbyterian College announced today by first-year head coach Jessica Vanco.

Blease, a 5-10 guard/forward from Saluda, S.C., currently plays for King Academy and head coach Joey Long. For her high school career, Blease is averaging 19.3 ppg, 9.1 rpg, and 2.6 apg and is the school’s record holder for points and rebounds in a game and in a season. She has been SCISA single A Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004 and has led her team to three straight state titles.

“Kerianne is going to help us tremendously next year,” said Vanco. “She is a threat both inside and outside the paint. She comes from a winning team having won three state titles and knows what it takes to be a champion.”

Blease becomes the fourth player to sign with the Blue Hose during the early signing period this fall. She joins Heather Bramble of Raleigh, N.C., Marie Marquez of Greenville, S.C., and Jessica Parris of Inman, S.C. in the Blue Hose 2004-05 signing class.
