PRESBYTERIAN'S BRITTANY CARROLL NAMED
SAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Brittany Carroll of Presbyterian College has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week announced league officials Monday.

Carroll, a 5-6 sophomore guard from Dunn, N.C., led the Blue Hose to a 1-1 mark this past week, including a 73-67 road win over Mars Hill College to open league play.

The Midway High School graduate averaged 24.5 points and five rebounds per game, while shooting 60 percent from the field, including 53 percent from three-point range.  She also shot 80 percent at the foul line.

In PC's 92-82 road loss to No. 11 Anderson College, Carroll scored a career-high 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor, including 5-for-10 from beyond the arc. She added three boards, three assists, and a pair of steals in the loss.

Presbyterian ended an eight-game SAC losing streak with the road win at Mars Hill. Carroll led three players in double figures with 22 points to go along with a career-high seven boards and an assist. She shot 8-for-14 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point land.

The SAC Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's eight sports information directors.
