BLUE HOSE BASKETBALL
LISTED AMONG
NCAA STATISTICAL LEADERS
CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian
College men’s and women’s basketball teams are listed
among the NCAA Division II leaders in the latest statistics
announced this week.
The men’s basketball team (8-4) led by 16th-year
head coach Gregg Nibert,
is 16th in the nation in field goal percentage
defense (38.5%), 22nd in scoring defense (62.3 ppg),
and 37th in rebound margin (+6.4 rpg). The Blue
Hose lead the South Atlantic Conference all three categories.
The women’s basketball team (2-10), led by
1st-year head coach Jessica
Vanco, is 7th in the nation in three-point
field goal percentage (39.1%), 43rd in scoring
offense (73.7 ppg), and 47th in three-point field
goals made per game (6.3).
The PC men’s and women’s basketball teams will
open the South Atlantic Conference regular season this
Saturday, January 8 with a trip to Mars Hill, NC to take on
Mars Hill College. Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm in the women’s
game and 4:00 pm in the men’s game. Both contests will be
