PC’S WESSINGER NAMED TO BOJANGLES QUEENS CITY CLASSIC ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Presbyterian College women’s basketball player Rebecca Wessinger has been named to the 2004 Bojangles Queen City Classic All-Tournament team announced following the end of the classic.

Wessinger, a 5-9 junior forward from Laurens, S.C., averaged 19.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.0 spg, and 2.0 apg while shooting 61.9% from the field and 80.0% from the free throw line for the two games.

The Blue Hose split their games at the classic, losing to host Belmont Abbey College 88-76 on Thursday night, but came back on Friday night to win 85-72 to defeat Queens University of Charlotte.

In PC’s loss to the Crusaders, Wessinger tallied 19 points to go along with four boards and two assists on seven-of-10 shooting from the field. She scored 19 points with seven boards, two assists, and three steals in PC’s win over Queens.
