BLUE HOSE BASKETBALL LISTED AMONG NCAA STATISTICAL LEADERS 

CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian College men’s and women’s basketball teams are listed among the NCAA Division II leaders in the latest statistics announced this week.

The Blue Hose men’s basketball team (10-4), led by 17th-year head coach Gregg Nibert, is 30th in the nation rebound margin (+6.6 rpg).

The Lady Blue Hose women’s basketball team (10-2), led by 2nd-year head coach Jessica Vanco, is 17th in the nation in rebound margin (+9.2), 25th in field goal percentage (45.8%), 31st in three-point field goal percentage (36.9%), 35th in win/loss percentage (.833), 36th in scoring offense (75.1 ppg) and 46th in scoring margin (+12.7).

Individually, sophomore guard Bridget Takach (Chapin, S.C.) is sixth nationally in three-point field goal percentage (49.0%).

The PC men’s and women’s basketball teams will open the South Atlantic Conference regular season this Saturday, January 7 at home as they host the Lions of Mars Hill College. Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm in the women’s game and 4:00 pm in the men’s game. Both contests will be carried live on the Internet at PC’s athletic website: www.presby.edu/bluehose
