PC's Johnson Ranked Fifth
Nationally In Field Goal Percentage
CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College
women’s basketball player Morgan Johnson was ranked fifth
nationally in field goal percentage in the latest NCAA Division
II women’s basketball statistics. The Marietta, Ga. native at
the time of the release of the statistics by the NCAA was
shooting 61.1% from the floor.
The 6-foot sophomore is currently averaging
a double-double, scoring an average of a team second-best 13.8
points-per-game and tallying a South Atlantic Conference and
team-best 10.5 rebounds-per-contest.
The 10.5 rebounds-per-game rank her 17th
nationally in the category.
The Walton High School product is not the
only one making their way nationally. Teammate Amy Jones
(Warthen, Ga.) ranked 31st nationally in
assists-per-game at 5.0 assists-per-game.
Jones’
backcourt partner Bridget Takach (Chapin, S.C.) is ranked 15th
in the nation in three-point shooting percentage, netting the
basketball from beyond the arc at a 46.8% clip.
