CALDWELL TO RUN FOR PC CROSS COUNTRY THIS FALL

CLINTON, SC — Mandy Caldwell has signed a grant-in-aid to run cross country for Presbyterian College announced today by first-year head coach Mike Rosolino.

Caldwell, a 5-3 distance runner from Memphis, TN attended St. Mary’s Academy and ran track for head coach Wendy Galok.

“Mandy is a hard worker who should have an immediate impact on our team,” said Rosolino. “ Her enthusiasm and dedication to running will allow her to succeed. She will add to our team’s athletic ability as well as helping others to enjoy the sport through her positive attitude and work ethic.”

The Presbyterian College men’s and women’s cross country teams are coming off their best season in 2000 in their short history as a collegiate sport for the Blue Hose. The women’s program won a school record four meets with eight top five performances while the men’s squad won a school record two meets and garnered seven top five finishes. Both teams finished the season ranked #4 in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region.
