BLUE HOSE WOMEN FINISH 6TH AND MEN FINISH 5TH AT 2002 LENOIR-RHYNE INVITATIONAL

NEWTON, NC  Both men's and women's teams had numerous personal best times as they gear up for next weeks South Atlantic Championship in Greenville, TN.  

The Blue Hose men were lead once again by seniors Jack Carmody and Drew Brannon.  Carmody finished 13th overall with a time of 27:30 and Brannon crosses the finish line with a time of 28:05.

In the women's race junior Tanith Forrester finished in the top-10 for the fifth time this season after finishing in 5th place with a time of 20:08.  Sophomore Kate Whipple also lead the women's team finishing 18th with a time of 21:31.

Pfeiffer University took first place overall for the men with freshman Chris Hiatt leading Pfeiffer with a time of 25:56.  In the women's race Lees-McRae College won first place and Lenoir-Rhyne senior Erin Coulter won the women's race with a time of 19:27.

Next weekend both men's a women's team will be in the SAC Championships with the men running at 8:30 and the women starting at 10:00
