MEN FINISH 3RD AND WOMEN 6TH IN THIRD ANNUAL PC INVITATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY MEET
CLINTON, SC - With a fast course and a beautiful morning the Blue Hose men's and women's cross country teams recording multiple personal record times, four top 10 finishers, and the men's team came away with their best overall finish of the season.

Leading the PC women was junior Tanith Forrester finished in second place with a time of 20:28. right behind her was sophomore Kate Whipple in sixth place with a time of 21:30. Also finishing in the top-25 for PC was freshman Ashley Harris who finished in 23rd with a time of 23:36. |

| In the men's race the Blue Hose were lead by seniors Jack Carmody (Atlanta, GA) and Drew Brannon (Knoxville, TN) who finished second and third respectively. Carmody posted a time of 27:06 with Brannon right behind him at 27:22. Rounding out the top-25 runners was Nicholas Williams who finished with a time of 30:42. |  |

Winning this year's meet was North Greenville College for the women and UNC-Pembroke for the men. UNC-Pembroke swept the first place finishes with Kathy Oldham finishing with a time of 20:08 and Mike Jimenez running past the competition with a time of 25:37.
Both men's and women's teams will look to build on the success from today and will run next weekend at the 2002 USC Spartanburg Invitational in Spartanburg, SC. The men's race begins at 8:30 with the women's at 9:30
