PC WOMEN WIN
PC CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL CLINTON, S.C.— The Presbyterian College women’s cross country team finished first at the 4th annual PC Inivitational Meet with three runners placing in the top five, while the Blue Hose men finished second to UNC-Pembroke with one runner placing in the top five. The Blue Hose women's cross country team was led by senior Tanith Forrester (Lexington, S.C.) placing first with a time of 20:10.69, freshman Tina DeYoe (Palm Coast, Fla.) placed 3rd with a time of 20:55.19, and junior Kate Whipple (Columbia, S.C.) placed fourth with a time of 21:02.96. Erskine’s Jessica Martin place second with a time of 20:41.47. The Blue Hose men's team was led by freshman Thad Palmer (Union, S.C.) placing second with a time of 29:00.10. Finishing sixth was freshman Nate Price (Athens, Ga.) with a time of 29:27.64, and coming in 12th place was junior Luke Faulkenberry (Laurinburg, N.C.) UNC-Pembroke men’s team came away with the first place finish behind the running of David Mead who finished fifth individually. David Payne from Southern Wesleyan University came away with the individual title with a time of 28:23.50. Erskine’s John Sell finished third (29:11.98) while North Greenville’s Andrew Stephens finished fourth with a time of 29:17.80. Both men's and women's cross country teams will be in action this coming Saturday October 11 at Anderson College Meet in Anderson, South Carolina starting at 10:00 a.m. 2003 PC Invitational- Clinton, S.C.
