HILL MEN AND WOMEN WIN WINGATE
XCC
INVITATIONAL

Hose women finished T-5th
& men 10th
WINGATE, N.C.- Mars Hill College placed three runners (Kate
Prichard, Tabatha
Lee and Rachel Retallick) in the top ten on its way to a first-place finish
in the Wingate University Invitational women’s 5K cross
country meet. Prichard (19:43) led the trio with a first-place
finish, while Lee (20:22) and Retallick (20:41) finished sixth
and ninth, respectively.
Carson-Newman finished second
place in the meet. Carson-Newman was led by Margaux Cowan-Banker 27:35.59)
and Jennifer Sauceman
(27:35.93), who finished fourth and fifth, respectively. For
the Wingate University Bulldogs, sophomore Lindsay
Boldt clocked a 27:54, good enough for 10th place.
Presbyterian
College continued their solid fall season with a fifth place
finish. Senior runner Tanith Forrester (Lexington,
S.C.) led the way for the Blue Hose with a 13th place finish
with a time of 21:10.
