BLUE HOSE FINISH FIFTH AT LANDER INVITATIONAL GREENWOOD,
S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s cross country
team finished in fifth place at the 2004 Lander Invitational
held Saturday morning at Lander University in Greenwood, S.C. Anderson
University won the event with 77 points. Lander wasn’t far
behind in second with 86 points. Senior Helen
Fout (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) was the leading runner for
PC as she finished in eighth place with a time of 21:26.
Senior Kate Whipple
(Irmo, S.C.) and sophomore Tina
DeYoe (Palm Coast, Fla.) finished in 21st
and 22nd place with times of 22:38 and 22:47. Other PC Notables: 34. Freshman Laura Burgess (Spartanburg, S.C.) – 23:31 38. Freshman Amanda Garvin (Lilburn, Ga.) – 23:44 49. Sophomore Kari Koch (Conyers, Ga.) – 24:46 54. Junior Ashley Harris (West Columbia, S.C.) – 25:09 63. Sophomore Chris Roberts (Cornelius, N.C.) – 26:22 65.
