BLUE HOSE CROSS COUNTRY SET TO OPEN 
2004 SEASON SATURDAY

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose men’s and women’s cross country teams open  the 2004 season this Saturday as they travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to take part in the 2004 Eye Opener Meet.

The Blue Hose, led by first year head coach Stephanie Allen, return six letter winners on the men’s side, including senior Luke Faulkenberry, and seven letter winners on the women’s side, including seniors Kate Whipple and Jessica Wilson.

After the meet this weekend, PC will take part in the Lander University meet on September 11 followed by the Wingate University meet on September 18, Winthrop College meet on September 25,  Carson-Newman College meet on October 9,  and the Erskine College Invitational on October 14 before taking part in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Championships  on October 23.

The women’s squad looks to repeat last year as they finished first in the PC Invitational and finished fifth place or better in every regular season meet. They also qualified for the NCAA Division II Regional Championship, where they finished 11th

The men finished last season with a seventh place finish in the SAC meet after recording two second place finishes during the regular season.
