LADY BLUE HOSE FINISH ELEVENTH IN WINGATE INVITATIONAL

WINGATE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s cross country team finished in 11th place in the Wingate University Invitational held Saturday morning at the Wingate University cross country facility.

Wingate won the event with a total of 85 points, well ahead of second place finisher Clayton College and State University.

The Lady Blue Hose were led by senior Helen Fout (Myrtle Beach, S.C.), who finished 27th with a time of 25:29. Sophomore Tina DeYoe (Palm Coast, Fla.) was next to finish for PC as she finished with a time of 27:07, good for 51st place. Senior Kate Whipple (Irmo, S.C.) wasn’t far behind as she finished in 57th with a time of 27:22.

The Lady Blue Hose will be back in action next Saturday as they travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to take part in the Winthrop Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
