WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY 10TH IN REGIONAL POLL

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s cross-country team, coming off a second-place finish at the 17th Annual Francis Marion University Women’s Cross Country Invitational Meet on last Saturday, remained in the 10th spot of the NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast Regional Poll for the second consecutive week.

There was a bit of shuffling in the poll as Carson-Newman College moved up three spots to claim No. 1, while last week’s top team, Wingate University, dropped to second.  Converse College also made a jump as the All-Stars earned a No. 6 ranking after being eighth last week.

Mars Hill College dropped from second to third, Lenoir-Rhyne College fell from sixth to seventh, and Barton College went from seventh to eighth.

Queens (N.C.) College (4th), Anderson (S.C.) College (5th), and Lees McRae (9th) remained status quo.

The Lady Blue Hose return to action today as PC hosts the Blue Hose Cross Country Invitational Meet at 4:00.
