Final Results

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Presbyterian’s women’s golf team concluded the 2007 Agnes McAmis Memorial Women’s Golf Invitational at the par 72 Link Hills Country Club in 17th place.

The Lady Blue Hose were led in the event once again by Kristin Cometto (Lexington, S.C.), who finished the event in 34th place with a two-day total of 165 (83-82).

Jessica Parris (Inman, S.C.) was the second-best finisher for the Lady Blue Hose, ending the event with a two-round total of 171.

Belmont's Lorie Warren canned an eight-foot birdie putt on the final hole to capture medalist honors, while also leading the Bruins to the team title at the event.

Belmont (NCAA Division I) captured the championship by posting a two-day 619, 10 shots better than second place Newberry (629).  Host Tusculum (No. 25 in NCAA II) finished third with 634, while Belmont Abbey (644) and Indianapolis (645) rounded out the top five.

Warren's putt capped off a remarkable round by the final group of the tournament.

Tusculum's Amanda Bowen made the biggest charge of the day as she fired a three-under par 69 to establish a new tournament record, while equaling the TC and South Atlantic Conference best for a single round.  Bowen had a chance to break the school and league mark on the 18th hole, but her 12-foot birdie putt just missed.

Warren followed by draining her putt to win the event with a tournament record 145.  Bowen captured runner-up honors with a 146.
