BLUE HOSE WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM RETURNS
TO CAMPUS TODAY TO START PRESEASON

CLINTON, SC – Presbyterian College women’s soccer program returned to campus today to begin preseason practice.

The Blue Hose return 18 letterwinners along with five newcomers to the roster this season.  Among the returnees include seven starters from last season’s team that went 13-5-1 overall.

The Blue Hose are picked tied for second with Catawba College in this year’s SAC coach’s preseason poll with 51 votes.  Tusculum College received 62 votes as the preseason favorite to win the SAC regular season title.

“We are very excited about getting started,” said head coach Brian Purcell.  “We definitely have our work cut out for us, but we have two weeks before we have to come together as a team and mesh into one unit.”

The Blue Hose returned to campus at 3:00 pm to have meetings followed by physicals tomorrow morning before they start practice at 1:30 pm.

PC opens the 2001 season on Friday, August 31 at home as they take on King College in Martin Stadium at Edens Field.
