BLUE HOSE WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO #17 BELMONT ABBEY 2-0
BELMONT, NC -- Natalie Monfils scored both Belmont Abbey goals and the defense led by goalie Katherine Bogie shut down the Presbyterian offense as the Lady Crusaders, ranked 17th nationally, defeated the Lady Blue Hose 2-0 at Belmont Saturday.
Monfils put the Abbey on the board in the 26th minute when she scored an unassisted goal, her fifth of the year. She scored her sixth goal in the 78th minute on an assist form Nicole Des Plantes.
Belmont Abbey, which is also ranked third in the Southeast region, improved to 6-1 overall and will play at Anderson Tuesday at 4:00 pm. Presbyterian, ranked fifth in the region, dropped to 1-2-1 and travels to USC-Aiken Tuesday at 7:00 pm
