 CoSIDA ANNOUNCES 2002 VERIZON ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN COLLEGE DIVISION WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM
PC’s Jessi Adair named to the first team

CLINTON, SC – Presbyterian College senior Jessi Adair (Decatur, GA) was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-American College Division Women’s Soccer Team, announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Adair was named to the 11-member first team and was the only South Atlantic Conference (SAC) representative on the three All-American teams. 

Adair, a 5-5 senior attacking midfielder, was named to the first team All-South Atlantic Conference this post season.  The four-time All-SAC selection has led Presbyterian in scoring the last three seasons. The former Decatur High School standout is the career leader in assists (33), tied for second in career total points (109), and ranked third in career goals (38).  She ranks tied for third in career assists, 15th in career goals, and tied for 11th in career scoring in SAC history.  She also has 10 game-winning goals in her career. 

For her efforts in the classroom, Adair was named the 2001 and 2002 SAC Scholar Athlete Award Winner.  She has a 3.87 GPA as an Elementary Education major.  She has also been named to the Dean’s List, President’s List and the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She earns this honor for the second straight year having been named to the Verizon Academic All-American team last year as a junior.
