Blue Hose Women’s Soccer Team Defeat Limestone College 1-0

CLINTON, SC – Presbyterian College women’s soccer team kept their unbeaten streak alive today by beating the Lady Saints of Limestone College 1-0.

In a game that saw the Blue Hose (3-0-0) take 25 shots against the Lady Saints (2-1-0), the only player able to get past Lady Saints sophomore goal keeper Jackie Bateman (Southern Pines, NC) was freshman midfielder Megan Smith (Greenville, SC). But her one goal 17 minutes into the game was enough to put the Blue Hose past the Lady Saints.  Junior midfielder Ashley Cooke (Roswell, GA) made the crossing assist that set up the goal by Smith.

Junior goal keeper Aimee Tatom (Irving, TX) had an easy night with the Blue Hose defense only letting the Lady Saints have 4 shots the whole match.  Lady Saint’s goal keeper Bateman had a hard day having to make 10 saves on the day

The Presbyterian College women’s soccer team will be back in action this Tuesday at home for their first SAC game of the season against rival Newberry College at 7:00 p.m.
