SMITH NAMED SAC WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK 

ROCK HILL, S.C.— Presbyterian junior forward Delisa Smith (Anderson, S.C.) has been named this week’s South Atlantic Conference (SAC) women’s soccer Player of the Week.

Smith helped lead the #8-ranked Blue Hose women’s soccer team to a 2-0 mark last week to improve their record to 8-0-0 overall, 3-0-0 in the SAC. Smith scored three goals on the week including a pair of goals versus instate rival USC Aiken.

Last Saturday Smith, a preseason All-SAC selection, tallied the game-winning goal over Carson-Newman College in PC’s 1-0 victory over the Lady Eagles.

For the season, Smith is first on the team in scoring (15 total points), tied for first in goals scored (5) ,and third in assists.

The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the eight sports information directors of the league.
