#19 BLUE HOSE SHUTOUT MARS HILL 3-0 
IN SAC WOMEN'S SOCCER ACTION
PC's Adair scores a hat trick in the victory

MARS HILL, NC - The nineteenth ranked team in the nation in Division II, Presbyterian College defeated Mars Hill this afternoon in Meares Stadium by a 3-0 margin. Jessi Adair (Decatur, GA) scored a hat trick for the Blue Hose in the win.

It was the Blue Hose' ninth shut out of the season. Presbyterian's league leading defense allowing only 0.45 goals per match also improved today after holding Mars Hill scoreless. Presbyterian, also ranked third n the Southeast Region Poll moves into a tie for first place in the SAC with a league record of 4-1-1. Presbyterian is now 10-1-1 overall. Mars Hill fell to 1-5 in the SAC and 6-5-3 overall.

Adair scored her first of three goals in the match at the 7:48 mark on a
rebound. That was the only score of the opening period. Adair extended
the Blue Hose lead to 2-0 on a cross from Megan Smith (Greenville, SC) in the 58th minute. With less then three minutes left in regulation, Adair nailed a shot from 40 yards out to complete the hat trick. After today's match Adair has recorded 10 goals on the season. The assist by Smith was her fifth on the year.

Presbyterian keeper Aimee Tatom (Irving, TX) made five saves in the match and picked up her seventh individual shutout in goal. Presbyterian out shot Mars Hill 20-to-7 in the match. Lion keeper Laura Humphreys (Greeneville, TN) made nine saves in the match.
