No. 21 PC Remains Undefeated With 2-0 Over Lenoir-Rhyne
 In Women's Soccer Action

Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne College women's soccer team fell to No. 21 Presbyterian, 2-0, in a key South Atlantic Conference match Tuesday afternoon at Bears Field. The Blue Hose remained undefeated at 6-0 and 2-0 in league play while the Bears fell to 3-3 and 1-1, respectively.

PC's sophomore midfielder Megan Smith (Greenville, S.C.) tallied the game's first goal at the 31:20 mark after catching a high pass from senior midfielder Ashley Cooke (Roswell, Ga.) and scoring in the box. The Blue Hose extended the lead just over six minutes into the second half when sophomore forward Jennifer Merritt (Easley, S.C.) scored on a pass from sophomore midfielder Brittany Nollner (Lilburn, Ga.) in the box as well.

Presbyterian out-shot L-R, 10-7, and PC's senior goalkeeper Aimee Tatom (Irving, Tex.) was credited with the shutout in goal. Senior goalkeeper Julie Crosby (three saves) suffered the defeat for the Bears.

The Blue Hose return to action this Thursday, September 18 when they travel to Due West to face Erskine at 7 p.m..
