REGIONAL TIMES SET
Presbyterian to play Kennesaw
State Friday night at 7:30 pm
KENNESAW, GA - The NCAA
Division II National Tournament comes back to Kennesaw State.
The No-2 ranked Owls were named the top-seed in the Southeast
Region and will host the four-team regional tournament
beginning Friday evening at the KSU Soccer Field.
Joining the Owls in Kennesaw will be No. 3-seed Carson-Newman
College, No. 2-seed Tusculum and the Owls opening round
opponent, No. 4-seed Presbyterian.
Kennesaw State (20-1-0) and the Blue Hose(14-5-0) will play on
Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Carson-Newman (15-3-2) and
Tusculum (14-4-1) will begin the tournament at 4:30 p.m.
Carson-Newman and Tusculum will be playing for the third time
this season. In their lone regular season match up, the teams
played to a 1-1 tie on October 14. The teams also met in the
South Atlantic Conference Tournament Semifinals with Tusculum
earning a 1-0 win.
The Owls will be playing Presbyterian for the second time this
season. Kennesaw State took a 3-1 decision from the Blue Hose
in Clinton, South Carolina on October 29.
The winners of the semifinal matches will meet on Sunday
afternoon at 2:00 p.m. for the Southeast Region Championship.
