DEFEATS MARS HILL 1-0 IN OVERTIME
MARS HILL, NC –
Claire
Joyce (Aiken, SC) hit a shot from about 25 yards out to lift the Blue
Hose of Presbyterian College to an overtime win at Mars Hill on
Saturday afternoon. The
unassisted match winner came at the 97:51 mark.
MHC fell to 0-4 in the SAC and 6-8 overall with the loss.
PC improved to 3-3 in league play and 7-6 overall.
PC out shot Mars Hill 16-to-8.
PC keeper Brittany
Pecora (Myrtle Beach, SC) made four saves in the game to
pick up her third shutout of the season.
Claudia Cala (Hamilton, NJ) made eight saves in
the match for the Lions.
MHC will return to action on October 19 when they play at North
Georgia College at 2:00 p.m.
PC will host Catawba College on Saturday, October 23, at
7:00 p.m.
