Presbyterian Rolls Over Converse

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -
The Blue Hose of Presbyterian College scored eight goals en
route to victory over Converse College.
Lytle
Cannon recorded a hat trick in the victory, while Claire Joyce
tallied three assists in the win.
With
the loss, the All-Stars fall to 2-15 while Presbyterian moves to
6-9 on the season.
Cannon
started the scoring for the Blue Hose when she received a Joyce
pass and slotted home the first goal of the match.
Joyce
would then obtain a goal of her own in the 7th minute from a
Tricia Bryan pass. Joyce would again find Cannon in the 20th
minute to give the Blue Hose a 3-0 advantage. Joyce would pick
up her 3rd assist of the night a mere 90 seconds later when she
found Bryan’s foot for a 4-0 advantage.
With 18
minutes to play in the first half, Ginny Wolfe made a nice turn
on her defender and slotted a pass to Amanda Rossie for the
fifth goal of the first half.
Cannon
would complete her hat trick in the opening minutes of the
second half finishing a Millie Green pass.
Twelve
minutes into the half, Rossie headed home a Sheldon Robinson
corner.
Robinson would score one of her own seven minutes later. Ashley
Cook would get the assist on Rossie’s goal.
Presbyterian out shot the All-Stars 27-4, with Erin Sinkuler
needing to record just one save in the win.
Presbyterian will close out the regular season at 7 p.m. on
Saturday, Oct. 21 when they take the pitch against league rival
Catawba at Martin Stadium.
