PC Women's Soccer To Face
Tusculum In Quarterfinals Of SAC Tournament
Kickoff set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Pioneer Field
2006 Food Lion SAC Women's Soccer Tournament Bracket
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The start time for Tuesday's quarterfinal match of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament, between Tusculum College and Presbyterian College has been announced. The Pioneers and Blue Hose will face off beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at Pioneer Field on the Tusculum campus.
Admission to Tuesday's match is $5 for adults, $2 for children under 12 and $1 for non-Tusculum students.
Tusculum is the No. 2 seed in this year's tournament after posting a 12-1-3 record during the regular season. Presbyterian (7-9) is the No. 7 seed after finishing in a three-way tie for fifth place in the league race.
Presbyterian concluded its regular season by obtaining maybe its best victory of the season last Saturday with a 2-1 win over No. 22 Catawba.
Claire Joyce scored with 2:50 left in regulation to acquire the win for Presbyterian.
The winner of Tuesday's match advances to Hickory, N.C. for this weekend's semifinal and finals of the SAC Tournament. The winner of the TC-PC contest will face either Catawba College or Newberry College on Friday beginning at 3 p.m.
The championship match will be held on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
