PRESBYTERIAN'S LISA MOYER NAMED
SAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lisa Moyer of Presbyterian College has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week announced league officials on Tuesday. 

Moyer, a junior from Florence, S.C., helped lead the Lady Blue Hose to a 2-1 mark last week with a win over NCAA Division I Gardner-Webb University (5-2) and opened SAC play with a 9-0 win over Mars Hill College.  Presbyterian's only set back came in a 7-2 loss to No. 7 Rollins College.

Moyer, a graduate of Wilson High School, went 3-0 during the week in both singles and doubles competition.

She posted a 6-1, 7-5 win over Monica Walser of Gardner-Webb and teamed with
Brittany Lanford (Florence, S.C.) to post an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

Against Mars Hill, Moyer defeated Whitney Stroud 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and teamed with Lanford to post an 8-6 victory in doubles play.

Moyer secured both points in the Rollins match.  She defeated Anastasiya Shevchenko, who is ranked No. 15 in the region, 6-1, 6-4.  In doubles play, Moyer and Lanford won a 9-8 marathon in the No. 2 flight.

The SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's eight sports information directors.
