PC Opens Season With Loss To CSU
CLINTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern defeated No. 34 Presbyterian College 6-1 on Saturday afternoon in the season opener for the Lady Blue Hose.
PC’s Brittany Lanford earned the only victory for Presbyterian in singles play on Saturday, picking up a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Charleston Southern’s Amanda Schutte in No. 6 singles.
The doubles tandem of Lauren Brown/Virginia Waldron garnered a victory at No. 3 doubles with an 8-6 win over the Charleston Southern duo of Amanda Swindall/Andrea Schutte.
Presbyterian has six days off before traveling to Cullowhee, N.C. to face off against Western Carolina at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.
