PC Women Fall To Florida Southern At NCAA DII Southeast Regional

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 26 Presbyterian College fell 5-0 to 11th-ranked Florida Southern on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. FSC will now face the other semifinal winner, tournament host #8 Nova Southeastern University, at 10 a.m. at the BCC Tennis Complex on May 5.

The third-seeded Moccasins took all three doubles matches from the sixth-seeded Blue Hose to lead 3-0. FSC’s eighth-ranked duo of Senka Softic and Meri Gol defeated Presbyterian's Lauren Brown and Abby Diminich 8-2 in the top flight. Silje Aarum and Lindsey Schwartz defeated Brittany Lanford and Lisa Moyer 8-3 to put FSC up 2-0 before Erin Conroy and Lidia Gandarias finished doubles play with an 8-2 victory over Virginia Waldron and Kari Fuller.

Senka Softic put FSC up 4-0 by defeating Lauren Brown 6-1, 6-1 in the top singles flight. The match was completed when FSC's Meri Gol closed out Lisa Moyer 6-1, 6-0, giving the Moccasins the 5-0 victory.
