                                          PC Wins Fourth Straight

GAFFNEY, S.C.
– Presbyterian College’s women’s tennis team claimed its fourth consecutive victory on Tuesday afternoon with a 9-0 road victory over Limestone College.

The 27th-ranked Lady Blue Hose are now 10-5 on the season.

PC opened their efforts with Catherine Bankhead (Amarillo, Texas) and Abby Diminich (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) winning at No. 1 doubles and Lauren Brown (Gaffney, S.C.) and Virginia Waldron (Mountville, S.C.) winning at No. 2 doubles with an 8-0 victory over the Lady Saints’ duo of Kragel/Cribb.

Due to Limestone not having anyone to square off against them at No. 3 singles, PC’s No. 3 doubles tandem of Brittany Lanford (Florence, S.C.) and Lisa Moyer (Florence, S.C.) won by forfeit.

Brown improved to 9-5 individually with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Jen Snider at No. 1 singles. Moyer won 7-5, 6-3 over Limestone’s Alex Gade at No. 2 singles.

The Blue Hose won easily in the next three singles flights with Bankhead, Diminich and Fuller all improving their overall individual marks.

Lanford won once again by forfeit at No. 6 singles.

The Lady Blue Hose next travel to Tusculum to play a dual match that was originally slated for last Sunday. The Pioneers and Blue Hose will take the courts at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 6.
