head coach Jessica Vanco announced the hiring of Dionna
McPhatter as an assistant coach on Monday. McPhatter’s main
on-court responsibilities with the Lady Blue Hose will be

PC's Johnson Ranked Fifth
Nationally In Field Goal Percentage
CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College women’s
basketball player Morgan Johnson was ranked fifth
nationally in field goal percentage in the latest NCAA
Division II women’s basketball statistics. The Marietta,
Ga. native at the time of the release of the statistics
by the NCAA was shooting 61.1% from the floor. The
6-foot sophomore is currently averaging a double-double,
scoring an average of a team second-best 13.8
points-per-game and tallying a South Atlantic Conference
and team-best 10.5 rebounds-per-contest. The 10.5
rebounds-per-game rank her 17th nationally in
the category.

- Behind 17 points and 11 assists by senior guard Brooke
Underwood, Tusculum withheld a furious late Presbyterian
rally to defeat the Lady Blue Hose 80-75 at Pioneer
Arena on the opening night of the South Atlantic
Conference women's basketball season. Presbyterian was
led in the loss by Morgan Johnson (Marietta, Ga.), who
finished the game with her seventh double-double of the
2006-07 season. Johnson had 21 points and 12 rebounds in
the loss to the Pioneers.
