And Then There was One

And then there was one. One night. One men’s basketball national champion. One final SUB event of the year left – the much anticipated Spring Fling.
The Student Union Board hosted a showing of the finale of the March Madness craze that comes around every year. On Monday night, the national championship men’s basketball game was shown on the big screen in Springs Campus Center.
We have all witnessed the use of alcohol on campus. Recently, fraternity court was shut down for a period of several weeks prior to spring break. Due to recent events, a new look at alcohol on campus is taking hold. The policies for fraternity court are being analyzed and reevaluated.
Doing the right thing. These four words, which are so simple when apart, sound so extremely hard to do when put together. In today’s day and age, it has become increasingly difficult to always do what is morally right, as opposed to what other people in society are doing. And yet, aren’t we as humans put on earth to work together and help society succeed as a whole? It seems as if lately people have forgotten the reason we are here on earth.
PC’s Student Union Board hosted its second event of the Spring semester with a Bingo Night in Springs. Over 150 students came out to test their luck in one of the most well-known games of chance while enjoying the late-night food offerings of Springs

The Student Union Board brought back the old movie theatre style by hosting a Movie Night on the Plaza this past Saturday night. The first Sherlock Holmes movie was shown on the 20 foot inflatable screen out on the lawn in front of GDH.

Nowadays, it has become increasingly more difficult for young adults to maintain a healthy lifestyle. What with TV, video games, fast food, and sleep deprivation, weight gain has become more and more common in the 21st century. While most people may not always consider the negative side to eating fast food and getting only about five hours of sleep a night, in the long run, all these things have very bad side effects for our bodies. … Continue Reading

Children’s fascination and appreciation of all things has continued to fill our minds with wonder and awe. Children find even the smallest of things and value them beyond our wildest imaginations. When Mr. Joe Fuller observed children riding a small train being pulled by a tractor, a new doorway opened up. Fascinated by the children’s reaction, Mr. Fuller began to build his own train.
Three years ago the long journey started. Mr. Fuller began looking for parts and investing in children’s dreams. When asked what sparked the connection with the train, Mr. Fuller replied that he never intended to become so involved. Watching the children’s fascination was the magic. The days for train riding are quickly fading. Mr. Fuller shared a story with me regarding children and their fascination with trains.
