Opportunities
Business oriented students have access to a number of unique opportunities when they decide to join the Presbyterian College community.
Flexicourses
Flexicourses serve to broaden students’ horizons by having them spend time in a foreign country. During this period of time, students learn, among other things, how business models vary from country to country, visit influential international companies, and acquire invaluable business contacts. Participation prepares students by giving them a hands-on experience when it comes to international commerce and adapting to foreign cultural sensibilities.
Internship Opportunities
The internship program at Presbyterian College shows its commitment to helping students excel both in academics and in life. The Business Department, in conjunction with the Department of Career Services and Internships, has helped hundreds of students find internships that fit their passions and provide experience that will last long after graduation.
Vance Ethics Lecture Series
The Business Department here at Presbyterian College realizes that textbooks can only provide so much information when it comes to real world questions regarding appropriate business ethics. Therefore, with the help of a generous donation made by local business man Mr. Robert M. Vance, we have developed the Vance Lecture on Ethics. The lecture series invites high-profile leaders in the business world to come and speak with students on how to run a successful business that still maintains a moral code that employees can be proud of and refer to during day to day activities.
BB & T Capitalism
With the support of grant provided by BB&T, the Business Department also features a special course dedicated to exploring the basis and workings of capitalism. The grant not only allows us to put students in contact with influential members of the business community, but also supports students by giving them the chance to pursue unique internship opportunities.
