Vance Ethics Lecture Series

The Robert M. Vance Lecture Series on Business Ethics is funded by a generous gift from the Bailey Foundation and is named after the late Robert M. Vance. Mr. Vance considered ethics, honesty and integrity to be extremely important and lived these qualities as a business leader in Clinton, SC. This program is a tribute to his legacy. The speakers, CEOs or other top managers, will address business ethics as the overall theme. The series will consist of a two-day program each spring semester and a one-day program each fall semester.

The two-day program includes:

  • meeting with students in business classes
  • lecturing to the campus community
  • attending a panel discussion
  • meeting with local business leaders during a reception

The one-day program will include:

  • meeting with students in business classes
  • lecturing to the campus community

The 2011 speaker, HGTV President and ’85 PC grad Jim Samples, spoke in Edmunds Hall  .  In the afternoon, he met with students for career advice on broadcasting and other dream careers.  Mr. Samples has spoken at PC in the past about his background.
