What makes a good physical therapist

Mark Fox, Biology Major, Class of 2008
Physical therapy Internship,
Presbyterian Home/Heritage Healthcare, Clinton, SC

My internship allowed me to observed physical and occupational therapy on the residents of the Presbyterian Home. I learned many things during my time at the Presbyterian Home from general job requirements to how to interact with patients.

The most notable thing that I learned from this experience is how therapists are supposed to carry themselves. They, of course, must be ethical and professional, but during this internship, I observed that a therapist must also be uplifting, energetic, and enthusiastic to keep their patients motivated.
