Some students come to college knowing what they want to do when they graduate, and choose a major that supports that choice. Other students come to college and know what they like to learn about, choose that major, and look for a job that relates to the major.

As you consider different majors, think about the following:
- What subjects and ideas do you have a passion for?
- What are you challenged by?
- Talk to people about how your interests relate to academics and careers: other students, faculty, staff, family members, etc.
- Do you have the skills and ability to do the work required?
- What are your values and how do they relate to academic and career interests?
